It's a bittersweet moment when you successfully finish the board layout. A significant step is finally completed, yet you're still not done. The next step is to document everything necessary for the fabrication and assembly of the design. Given the number of documents that need to be created, this is not a trivial task.
The Altium Outjob Editor is a potent documentation generation tool for several reasons. If the layout has been modified, documentation can be regenerated without worrying whether all files were updated. When appropriately structured, the Outjob file can be used as a template for future projects with minimal modification.
Though Nine Dot Connects has presented on the Outjob topic several years ago, we believe it is time to revisit this tool with the latest version of Altium Designer and, quite frankly, with better presentation capabilities!
