SOLIDWORKS PCB Declared EOL
The Era of Mechatronics Design Marches On
On July 28, 2021, Dassault Systems announced that it is discontinuing the SOLIDWORKS PCB product.
This is by no means the abandonment of the mechatronic design space where electrical and mechanical aspects of the design converge. Dassault Systems sees a need to serve the entire EDA community. Though Altium was the first to introduce the capability in 2008, Cadence, Zuken, and Mentor also have 3D capabilities. As time goes on, these interfaces will be made available through the 3D Experience platform.
In the meantime, we at Nine Dot Connects are here to help. Whether you wish to continue with SOLIDWORKS PCB or explore the possibility of migrating to Altium Designer, we can undoubtedly assist you.
