ECAD-MCAD Collaboration between SWPCB and Altium Designer

On July 28, 2021, Dassault Systems announced that it is discontinuing the SOLIDWORKS PCB product.

SOLIDWORKS PCB Connector enables collaboration between Altium Designer and SOLIDWORKS PCB. It is an Altium extension tool that enables seamless sharing of 3D data without requiring import and export of STEP, DWG, or IDF file formats. This collaboration not only improves the ability to move data between the MCAD and ECAD worlds, but it also removes much of the manual administrative tasks that the 1st generation of collaboration demands. It goes beyond moving STEP files, and in fact, it is not even moving STEP files!
